Hi, I’m Catherine.

Sometimes life doesn’t end up where you thought it would. Learning how to navigate the unexpected can be overwhelming and disorienting, and with the right support, it can be the next step to living your most authentic life. My experiences in managing life’s changes and uncertainties have given me a strong foundation to support my clients with insight, empathy and a genuine connection. Within the professional and ethical boundaries of therapy, I work collaboratively with clients to create a space where it feels safe to be curious and vulnerable.

My educational training includes an undergraduate degree from UC Davis and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Sacramento State University before receiving my clinical license. I acquired my clinical training working with adults at Turning Point Community Programs and with children and adolescents at the UC Davis Child and Adolescent Abuse Resource and Evaluation (CAARE) center focusing on the treatment of trauma. I have received training in treatment modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples. I am committed to staying at the forefront of therapeutic practices and am a lifelong learner. I am anti-racist, LGBTQ+ affirming and neurodivergent affirming.

I began my private practice after a decade in another field I absolutely hated. I returned to school to pursue my dream of being a therapist and now I am privileged to support people as they navigate their personal journeys. I take the care of each of my clients very seriously and I look forward to exploring new paths with you, built upon more understanding and resilience.
